The Ministry of Ayush tableau was showcased at the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. It presented India’s traditional systems of medicine in combination with modern technology. The tableau reflected the theme Ayush ka Tantra, Swasthya ka Mantra and underlined the role of Ayush in preventive, promotive and community-based healthcare.
Theme and Civilisational Message
The tableau brought into light India’s holistic approach to health and well-being. It represented Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy. The front section used medicinal plant motifs and natural imagery to show the link between human health and the ecosystem. It stressed sustainability and balanced living.
National Ayush Mission Integration
The display showed the expansion of Ayush through the National Ayush Mission. It illustrated grassroots service delivery through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. It also reflected work in education, research and institutional capacity-building. The tableau presented Ayush as part of the wider public health framework.
Digital Wellness and Life-Cycle Care
The tableau portrayed technology-enabled initiatives for maternal care, child health and elderly well-being. It also showed early exposure to Ayush concepts in schools. Digital platforms such as Supraja, Vayomitra and Ayurvidya were represented as tools for wider outreach. The life-cycle approach linked health support from childhood to old age.
Therapies, Participation and Institutional Continuity
The tableau included depictions of Marma, Shirodhara and Cupping therapies. It also showed yoga practice, meditation and commonly used Ayush medicines. Mascots represented digital applications such as Y-Break Pro, WHO mYoga, Namaste Yoga and Prakriti Parikshan. The final section featured an Ayurveda College, symbolising education, continuity and India’s growing wellness leadership.
