The Central Armed Police Forces (General Administration) Act, 2026 has been notified after Presidential assent and publication in the Gazette. Deputation Provisions
- Fifty per cent of the posts will be filled through deputation from the Indian Police Service in the rank of Inspector General.

Rule-Making Powers
- The Central Government has been empowered to frame rules on recruitment and service conditions.
