JanSamarth is a Government digital platform for credit-linked schemes that aims to widen access to public welfare benefits and simplify loan delivery. Launched to connect beneficiaries, lenders and government agencies on one system, the portal supports end-to-end digital processing for multiple Central schemes across sectors such as agriculture, housing, business activity, livelihood and renewable energy.
Single-Window Credit Platform
JanSamarth functions as a common marketplace for credit-linked schemes. It currently offers 15 Central Government schemes on one platform, with 12 schemes available through a full loan journey and 3 through redirection. The portal reduces the need for repeated physical visits to bank branches and provides a single interface for application, eligibility checks and status tracking.
Scale of Onboarding and Processing
As of 20 March 2026, about 254 lenders have been onboarded, including Public Sector Banks, Private Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks, District Central Co-operative Banks, NBFCs and Small Finance Banks. Since launch, about 41.14 lakh applications worth ₹1,06,306 crore have been processed. Digital approval has been accorded to 35.07 lakh beneficiaries for ₹84,365.55 crore.
Digital Features and Verification
- The portal uses a rule engine for faster eligibility checks and approval.
- It enables 24/7 online application submission.
- It integrates with databases such as CBDT, GST, UDYAM, UIDAI, CIBIL and others for real-time verification.
- Applicants can receive in-principle sanction and track progress digitally.
- The platform is available in 8 languages and supports assisted applications through business correspondents.
Grievance Redressal and Outreach
JanSamarth has dedicated grievance redressal channels for beneficiaries and lenders. Complaints are recorded, tracked and resolved within defined timelines. The portal is accessible through website and mobile applications, and more schemes are being onboarded to expand its coverage and improve inclusive credit delivery.
