Odisha approved 18 industrial projects with a total investment of ₹3,877.14 crore at the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) on 21 April 2026. The projects are expected to generate 7,565 employment opportunities across 11 districts of the state.

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority is a state-level approval mechanism used in India for clearing industrial proposals. In Odisha, the authority is chaired by the Chief Secretary, and the 146th meeting was chaired by Anu Garg.
Sectoral Spread of Projects
The approved projects cover metals, advanced manufacturing, explosives, electronics, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, shipbuilding, and tourism. Such sectoral classification is used in industrial policy to group projects by end-use and production activity.
Districts Covered
The investments are linked to Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh. These districts are spread across coastal, central, and western Odisha.
Major Approved Units
- Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Private Limited received approval for an aluminium downstream facility.
- Scan Steels Limited and Jay Jagannath Steel & Power Limited received approvals for expansion of steel manufacturing capacities.
- Solar Industries India Limited received approval for an explosives manufacturing unit in Jharsuguda.
- Envair Electrodyne Limited will set up an Electronics System Design and Manufacturing, or ESDM, unit.
- Harman Finochem Limited and Ambitech Healthcare Private Limited will invest in healthcare manufacturing.
- Baleshwar Shipyard and Infra Private Limited received approval for a shipbuilding and ship repair facility in Balasore.
Industrial Context
Odisha is one of India’s major mineral-rich states, with large reserves of iron ore, bauxite, chromite, and coal. The state has industrial clusters in steel, aluminium, mining, chemicals, and port-linked manufacturing.
