On 15 June 2026 Bihar’s Integrated Aqua Park in Bhojpur (₹31.21 crore) was sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and an NFDB regional centre was inaugurated in Patna.
Integrated Aqua Park — Bhojpur
- Location: Vanasaur Fish Seed Farm, Nawadaben Panchayat, Udawantnagar block, Bhojpur district.

- Infrastructure: Carp and striped catfish hatcheries, biofloc tanks, Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) units, fish feed manufacturing, diagnostic laboratory and quarantine facilities, 50‑bed residential training hostel.
- Operational intent: Improve availability of quality seed, demonstrate modern culture systems and provide residential training facilities for farmers and technicians.
NFDB Regional Centre — Patna
- Role: Knowledge and institutional hub for Bihar and eastern states for technical assistance, scheme convergence, capacity building and field implementation support.
- Technology focus: Promotion and handholding for biofloc, RAS, cage culture and precision aquaculture; continuous technical assistance to fishers and entrepreneurs.
