The Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA), India’s national academy for music, dance, and drama, is the apex body for performing arts. Established in 1953, it confers the most prestigious honors for practitioners of traditional and contemporary performing arts.

Sangeet Natak Akademi Ratna (Akademi Fellowship)

This is the highest honor conferred by the Akademi. It is restricted to a very limited number of living legends at any given time.
